|
Our second FOTOFILE of 2004 covers April and May. The first picture is from the lotto draw on Sunday night 4th April in Lydons Pub, Imelda Tierney was presented with a cheque for 4,850 by our club chairman Mike Geoghegan after choosing the correct numbers in the previous weeks draw. The second picture was taken when Local Councillor Mary Hoade visited the Clubhouse in Cregg and met with the players, team managers and officers. Mary has always supported the ongoing work on our facilities especially in terms of fund raising. Next up we have 'a little friendly discussion' from the Intermediate league clash of Annaghdown and St. Thomas'. Two pictures follow this from the Junior C football tournament with Ballindeeren, the first of Mark Connaughton with the cup and the second an action photo from the game. 2004 saw the introduction of U8 and U10 football training and the next photo shows some of the first participants. A picture of some youngsters taking a break from training to have their photo taken follows this. The next two photos are taken of a review of the development in Cregg. Lotto wins came thick and fast in 2004 and the next photo show club treasurer Vivian Silke presenting a cheque to Sally Farnan who won 2,300. Padraic Carr is then seen in action in the 2003 Junior C hurling championship final against St. Columba's. The final pictures in this Fotofile are of the open day in Cregg. The
first features the 1980's team, which took on the current team in a
challenge game, and the official opening picture follows this with Councillor
Mary Hoade cutting the tape in the presence of club secretary Seamus
Finnerty and club chairman Michael Geoghegan. |
