The Killeavey Hurling Tournament 2004

The Annaghdown Hurlers retain the Killeavey hurling tournament Shield for 2004 and for those that don’t know, Killeavey is Steven McDonnell's home Club in Armagh. A mixture of intermediate and junior hurlers took part in the tournament which is held annually in memory of “Paddy McDonnell. Led by young captain, Fergal Doherty, we emerged victorious, defeating host club Killeavy in the final. There are stories of 22 in a van, those that didn’t score on the pitch, no breakfast in the hostel and a very critical Ozzie signing. Other than that, it was a great weekend where hospitality abound. ‘Selected’ pictures will be uploaded to the website later this week. Panel: Pajo Fahy, Martin O’Neill, Cathal Gaffney, Fergal Doherty, Christy Burke, Carl Leonard, Adrian Pierce, Martin Duggan, Vivian Silke, Bonnie Creaven, Con Butler, Graham Hession, Kenneth Leonard, Paul Creaven, Mike Geoghegan, “Ozman”, Donal Butler, Niall Coleman and Declan Regan.
