U16 Footballers win the Galway A League

U16 Footballers had an excellent 3-10 to 1-6 victory over Renmore in the U16 A League Final played in Tuam Stadium on Saturday last. A brilliant second half performance in which we outscored the hot favourites Renmore by 2-7 to 0-2 copper fastened this victory. However, it was a goal, finished with aplomb by Declan Walsh towards the end of the first half that was the turning point of this game as we went in at half time just one point in arrears. Goals from Jason Barrett and Niall Farragher were the highlight of a brilliant second half which Annaghdown totally dominated. All fifteen players covered themselves in glory but one must mention the performance of corner back, Noel Burke, who was magnificent throughout.
