Galway's Niall Coleman (Annaghdown) controls the ball at mid-field being watched by Darren Mullahy (Milltown) with Cork's center field players Alan O'Connor (St. Colm) and Patrick Kelly (Ballincollig)

Irish Independent 1st May 2005 : Meehan and Armstrong put Galway to sword. Galway 0-17, Cork 1-11. Galway scored their first ever victory over Cork at Under 21 level when the dynamic scoring duo of Michael Meehan and Sean Armstrong powered them to victory in a trilling All-Ireland semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. The exploits of the corner-forwards, who scored 15 points between them, will conjure up memories for older folk of the sort of damage the 'Terrible Twins', Sean Purcell and Frank Stockwell, used to inflict on sides half a century ago.
