This FOTOFILE starts with a picture where the Annaghdown U-12 team play the newly selected Galway girls U-12 team in Cregg. Following is the launch of the Corrandulla Show Schedule held in Regans.

Next we saw the addition of the Notice board to the website where more frequent updates can be added by our team of contributors. These updates can be viewed at www.annaghdowngaa.com/notes or can be automatically received via an RSS reader or onto a WAP enable phone. Give it 6 months and the service where you can automatically receive them via SMS will be introduced into Ireland.

Next we capture action from the very enjoyable U-10 challenge match in Cregg against Dunmore. Following the game, we had the presentation to young Annaghdown footballer Mícheál McHugh of a €3,650 lotto winning cheque by Kevin Scully.

This is followed by action from the Sweeney Oil League against Corofin and then action from the U-8 hurling blitz held in Carnmore.

Our Senior Footballers then played a very enjoyable challange game against Mohill (Leitrim) in Cregg prior to the Galway v Leitrim Connacht semi-final in Pearse Stadium. Well done to Niall Coleman and the Galway team on progressing to the Connacht Final.

Next we feature the Schools Competitions. The Franciscan Trophy (5th & 6th Boys), the Franciscan Shield (3rd & 4th Boys) and the Girls Parish Blitz (3rd to 6th) were all played off in a day long series of blitzes in Cregg on Tuesday June 14th. In all 260 boys and girls from Annaghdown, Corrandulla, Bawnmore, Castlehackett and Currandrum National Schools formed a total of 28 teams and played a total of 48 games throughout the day. For the record the Franciscan Trophy was won by a team captained by Matthew Duggan, scoring a 2 point win over Damian Comer's team in a very well contested final. The Franciscan Shield was won by Micheal McHugh's team who defeated Eoin Mulvanney's team, also in a very close game. Siobhán Cullen's team emerged as winners of the Girls' Shield, having victories over Emma Keane's team (runners up) and Kelly Concannon's team in the round robin series for group winners.

We close with pictures of our Senior Footballers who left their recent poor form behind them with a good 2-11 to 1-12 victory over Killerenin in a League game played with championship fervour, in Barnaderg.
