Milwaukee Hurling Club in Action
We will
be hosting 42 members of the Milwaukee Hurling who hail from the city
of the same name, in the state of Wisconsin, in the northern heartland
of the United States for two days coaching as part of our Easter Hurling
Camp in April. The Milwaukee Hurling Club, established in 1996, is the
largest hurling club in North America. Milwaukee Hurling Club (MHC)
are special in that the majority of its members are not Irish, not even
hyphenated Irish, for the most part they are American, bred and buttered,
their own roots embedded in places as diverse as Sweden, the Phillipines.
The players in MHC are just involved with hurling because its a fun
game to play and 17 members aged from 9-17 are coming to Ireland to
learn more about the game. This will be the first time an American youth
