A St. Patrick's Day bite out of the Big Apple.

Tuam Herald March 18th 2004

Best of luck to the 21 Annaghdown GAA members who left for a week in New York on Saturday morning. Tom Burke (of Peggy’s Bar) delivered them to Shannon with next stop being the Wolcott Hotel in Manhattan. First event will be ice hockey on Monday evening where the New York Rangers play the New Jersey Devils in a Stanley Cup championship game. Sightseeing is planned for Tuesday in preparation for the St Patrick’s parade on Wednesday on 5th Avenue. Not however before a pub is found for the Caltra match. Early Thursday morning is reserved for a little jogging and stretching in preparation for the return trip on Friday. Best of luck again and thanks to Willy Duggan for sponsoring the mandatory teeshirts.
